I finally finally finally get to watch my Phantom of the Opera. Although some of my friends actually commented that it was overrated or it was bad etc, i think it was fantastic. It was really spectacular.
I've listened to the songs for years without knowing the story behind the musical. When the movie came out last year, i went to watch it without fail. The movie is of course about to bring to life the splendor of the Paris theater, how the catacomb would have looked like, the love stories. But nothing beats watching it live infront of your eyes. The props were really amazing. Phantom of the Opera had so many scenes and sets and changing of scenes has never been so smooth and professional. Really wondered how they did it, especially the scenes of the boat in the catacomb. How the hell the phantom manovere the boat, and how did all the candles appear up on the stage?? The scenes were beautiful. I was particularly shocked when the Phantom appeared on a angel statue that was lowered down from the ceiling, him hiding in the floating statue and later on the statue being lifted up as he continued to sing. I mean that was wow.....he's not afraid of height leh. The raising n the falling of the chandeliers was the other more exciting part. Really cool man. Even though i already expected the chandeliers to b dropped, it was still really very exciting when it really happened. The audience went in awe when the stage revealed the scene for the masquerade. It was really beautiful.... so beautiful so that you can hear all the woahs in the theater. Sadly, i already knew that scene so...not that breath-taking for me...haha
The photos are in my lab's pc. So i can't upload them for now. I mean the ones we took after the musical and during the intermission. WE are not allowed to bring camera in actually. SO ...we took with albert's hp's cam..no gd lar the resolution.
