* Farewell to Yuanyuan *
Originally i had 2 cute fat hamsters adn they gave birth to 4 cute little ones, of which one was black whom we named Bearbear. We gave one white boy away to an ex neighbour and as the story goes, it died early this yr. One baby gal named Lady bcos she was the smallest amongst all. She has also passed on, sadly she was sick all her life. My beloved daddy hamster, Xiaoxiao(despite the name, he was a big one..) also went away but i had the chance to be there when he passed on and i cried for a long time.
Yuanyuan has never really been our favourite bcos he kinda stinks all the time. He used to b soo fat n round(hence the name..) but very sadly towards the end of his life, he was having tumors all over his body. And the worse thing was he bit into his tumor, exposing bare flesh. Sometimes thru his biting he actually cleared the tumor, the tumor was juz gone..but as he grew older the tumors got bigger and it didn't go away. Strangely Yuanyuan barely shown any signs of pain, he could eat as much as usual(but lost alot of weight aldy) and run and play...I contemplated bringing him to the vet, to see if there's anything to b done. Some pple suggested putting him out of his misery =( . But it seemed he was still able to eat n play so i tot juz let him be...mayb something to ease his pain or heal his wounds?
I never tot he would go off as suddenly as this. He didn't really show any signs ...recently i always make it a point to wake my sleeping hamsters to make sure they aren't dead (bcos they are so old aldy...) I came home, saw them all asleep again today and i tried waking him up but he didn't move. And i tot to myself, gosh..the time has finally came. Went into my room and cried for a pretty long time b4 i could compose myself, brought him downstairs to b buried. Yicai came along even tho he was having a very bad time with his illness. I felt so sad. So sad that at the end of it all, i don think he really enjoyed his life on earth. And wat's more unbearable is the tot that one day..the 2 remaining hamsters will leave too. And i'm really upset abt that cos i know they are also old aldy...3 cages...now i have to keep away one..and then sooner or later..i will no longer need anymore cages and have to keep all three of them. =(
I can't imagine...the day that my rabbit has to leave mi. I think i will cry myself to death.

And of cos Dan Brown's famous book doesn't need much introduction and one of my favorite, ' The Little Prince', speaking of which was the thinnest book ever that i never got to finish reading it hmm..love it still!

Part of the Sarawak river which is near my ah gong's place.Once again the sunset. I wonder y sunsets are so beautiful in sarawak and non-existent in singapore? There used to be a suspension bridge across the river( u still can see the steel support) but heard it collapsed one day last yr bcos the government did not maintain it. It was supposedly a protected heritage by the government but they didn't wan to fork out money to maintain. It was closed down for many yrs bcos it was deemed unsafe to walk on aldy then. Had many great childhood memorise of the bridge. Was quite an adventure walking on it, bcos wat ur stepping on are planks of solid strong wood nailed across the width of the bridge but it has like 5 cm of gapping hole b/w each wood. The width of the bridge if i didn't rem wrongly can take one and a half car let's say. So u walk on iit, u feel like half the time u might juz fall thru the gap, since u can see the river underneath and then it's so wide u can't hold on to the side while u walk..unless u stick to the side which is ridiculous bcos everyone didn't find it a prob. Too bad...sighz..

The way back to kuching from sematan. The scenery consist of nothing but mountains n more mountains and trees, once in a while u see some houses and settlements..

At Sematan, some sort of fish market behind and then 3 stalls in front selling these very cool shells!! They are huge!! The pple dive deep down into the sea to get them. There were also the clamshells and some coral they took from the sea. I do not actually agree with them taking the corals out of the sea like these...but i gez the selfish greedy part of me actually wished i cld own one of that. Anyway i got the big shell and the drapping shells. Very cheap i tell ya. How can i resist!!

This is the shell!! My hand was there for a reason. To show u guys really how big the shell is. The price tag still on hahaa!! It says 16RM but nah i got it cheaper than that. When i brought it home, it still had a really strong fishy smell? So i was sunning the shell for a week under the sun and now it has found residence on my kitchen floor bcos my mom has not found a proper place to put it. GASP..

* Sematan beach! * Anyway the cute little beach house has 2 storey. 1st floor houses the tv set(which has nothiong much on..m'sia..), toilet, 2 single beds and some chairs.
Sematan beach is pretty new to the local pple. Meaning it's unpolluted. Most locals go to other beaches, like we used to in other yrs. But now i heard those beaches are polluted. Isn't it sad? That with more tourism,with more pple affording the gd life, nature gets polluted. So we do our uptmost part in conservation of nature by going to another beach to pollute them. Haha..right. So anyway we went to sematan. I heard it's pretty new place to go. Cos in the past u need to drive an hr away from Kuching and then take a ferry across..wow i mean how cool is that! Now they built a bridge across so it's convenient like shit. Onli chalets and simple resorts have been built to tap into this nice place. No luxurious siwmming pools and hotel rooms. Juz a simple beach resort we went too. Incidentally, this place is opened by hsiaolin's dad's classmate who they havben't met for 40+ yrs. Wow. And then the owner's older bro was my dad's classmate too!! wow! everyone knows each other..hahaa. NO discoounts still leh...y ah.. Anyway the resort offers no swimming pool, nothing but cute little nice beach hses, a long long stretch of beach to ourselves, food to eat, and then water activities. Y is this beach more popular nowadays? bcos its water is clear. Not turquiose thu but it's clear. And if u pay more u can take a boat out to the neighbouring islands and i heard the sand there is almost white and corals, so snorkelling..wow.
The cute little nice beach houses facing the sea. Each of them painted a different color. So cute! And then we were given key to our house and it states the color of the house instead of the hse no. aww 
That's the 1st floor that we took from the 2nd floor. The architecture is kinda nice. And then the 2nd floor, u climb a steep stairs up to actually wat looks more like the attic.
Then the 2nd floor has 2 single beds and a window b/w the 2 beds and the attic like ceiling above us. It's kinda weird when u wanna change (outside the toilet) bcos it's like open. U got to ask pple below to draw the curtain at the front door if not anyone can see u change. haha ..cute. And then our beds facing the small window shown in the picture, and we can see the sea!! When we sleep, we can also hear the waves. Wow...i wan a beach hse like that next time!!

Nice very nice sunset. But from my lousy monitor screen at the work place i can't see who is that posing there...bcos the monitor is v v v dark..lousy. So who is it? I hope it's not some ugly pose.Haha..u may zoom into the pic if u wan.
Me again. Hmm..Low tide. Sea is retreating!! And u see all the hermit crabs and their balls of sand ard their 'holes'.
2nd day at the beach. Get a taste of the sea, sky and mountain. Ahh..I love sarawak!!

These jumping photos were taken with alot of pain, since we tried again and again to get the time coordination right!
So i was asked to jump, and hsiaolin take the pic. But i can never jump as high as she did.
Look at her!! Muz b her long legs that made all the height difference. She almost died jumping cos i kept screwing up the timing hahaa..
And then i gave up jumping that way cos i can never jump as high as her. And boy did it turn out gd man!! Looked as if i was hoping across the water but no i was juz jumping. When i put this pic up as my msn pic? Almost everyone asked if that's me..ok fine..u can ask. But when i said yes it's me, NOONE believes me!! Can't believe i can do something as graceful as this?!! Then the explanation is well it's juz the freezing of the picture at the right time that makes it look so effortless and graceful. Then i had dance backgrd so it wasn't that hard. I do think my backleg is not arched back enuff..rusty eh..hahaa..anyway it's so nice and i love it hsiaolin!!! For those of u who still can't bring urself to believe it's me then zoom into the pic and see my spastic facial expression haha!
2nd day at the beach. We love ourselves so much the camera muz go swimming with us too.

* What a day!! *
Early Tuesday morning 9am and i have the itch to blog haha. I was trying to upload the beach photos yesterday but then blogger wasn't v cooperating and hence i couldn't, therefore everyone shall listen to my wonderful monday blues now instead of looking at nice beach hahaa
Let me recommend that you close this window if u are not in the mood to listen to grumblings and complaints bcos i'm gonna throw a whole pile of shit here!!
Let's start with an hr ago. My dad has another appointment in nuh today for his eye. My mom didn't wan to trouble (mafan) my aunt n uncle to fetch us there so hence she suggested that we hail a cab n bring my dad there. So there we go!! The clinic opens at 8.30am (which is also my working time) Hailed the cab, not without lots of scoldings of my dad from my mom this morning and then imagine how irritated i got. Ok..b4 that, i put my alarm to 7.50am, NUH is so bloody near and hey i take cab almost everyday i know how much time and which route to get here the fastest and cheapest. But my mom donoe being the kancheong spider or wat, started knocking at my dorr at 7.15am!! Omg!! And in my dreamy state i tot it's aldy 8am. I was smart enuff to lock the door last nite knowing well that she would budge in early. .. Then i went n opened the door, went back to bed to catch some last min sleep, checked my hp and realised its onli freaking 7.26am!!Kaoz..i went to close to door n slept. (*^%%$@
I realised it's really convenient for me that NUH is so bloody near and that my dad has most appointments at NUH. So i can go with them and then walk over to my workplace, which is juz a small road away from NUH.And as i was making my way to my workplace today from NUH, i was thinking how much time i spent in NUH really. I have lunch very often at NUH staff canteen. My bf was admitted there for a few times. I did my pilates there. I myself used to go to their eye clinic there..which is ironic bcos this time it's me bringing my dad there aldy. NUH is like where i spent alot of time, the ATMs are there, the 7-11, the mag store.....hmm..ok ok enuff of NUH..
MOnday was unexpectedly relaxing n fun! I came in feeling really sianz,wishing i had taken mc or something. BUT my colleague haha..jioed mi to go eat lunch at arts and we expected it to b a 2 hr lunch cos we are all v free. Wah and arts was so fun!! The whole damn atmosphere is lively and isn't school supposed to b like this? Where fresh looking undergrads walk ard, with so much energy? How come sci is so dead?! I almost 4got how to b a human. haha..And the usual bazzaars and activities, not to mention so many pretty ladies!! wah!!......erm a few cute guys lar...muz give guys some credit..haha..We muz go arts more often yes we muz. So we went shopping, went co-op(which is renovated n very nice) and almost went into the central library. Then we reached back at lab at 2pm, exactly 2 hrs. goodie. So i worked for a while and then it's 4 pm!!
Tea-break!! Recently the lab officer at the research lab suggested we have some get togehter times, to relax and talk abt everything under the moon, and have tea and he so boldy emailed all of us to do that hahaa.Surprisingly everyone supported him leh. So now we have tea breaks at 4pm and usualy we SOR until 5pm...well we go if we are free, cos not everyone is free since ur running experiements. But it's fun. haha..so imagine how much work i've done on monday man hahaa!!
Anyway so i went home, kinda happy with my day and had tuition. I think my digestion prob is back bcos when i have teaching my cousin i could hardly breathe. I had to struggle so hard to breathe in and it was sooo bad that i had to stand up and hyperventilate, i could feel my sight failing, black dots coming and i felt faint. Omg ..so i had to hyperventilate. Hyperventilation helps u to get ur heart pumping more hence more blood is circulated and oxygen transported ard ur body esp my brain. Nearly freaked mi out so much man. I rem one yr + ago i had quite a problem with indigestion that i could hardly walk ard or climb stairs or speak without feeling breatheless. It was so horrible i tot i may b having asthma. BUt then doc said it's juz indigestionl. An indigestion that took months to recover o_O. Sometimes i really doubt docs' judgements..So anyway breathing prob back.Not sure if it's indigestion. Cos the last time i experiened it was on the MAS plane taking off from kuching to JB. Before the plane took off, there was some waitin time where u do nothing rite? I began to have probs breathin. I tot the air was kinda stuffy, and my lungs struggling like crazy to take in wat's available. And then i look at my cousins and everyone ard, eh no one seemed to realise that it's stuffy? Hsiaolin still happily reading newspaper leh. I tot i was being ridiculous. And then the plane started moving, and THEN i really felt as if im gonna die. I was thinking shdi get the stewardess to give mi that gas thingie that u can put over ur mouth..it's so unlike me to make a fuss or draw attention to myself. I think i rather juz pass out and then let them ressurect me later with CPR. And then i hope it's the cute steward down the aisle resurrecting me. YA anyway plane took off, then i felt betta, like as if suddenly they on all their aircons or something. Bleah. Almost died. :(
Doc said that i did not have asthma. Bcos asthma feels like the air is trapped in ur lungs and u can't breathe them out. Not my case. I can't breathe them in. Sighz....

Sunday market. It's the weekend market at satok, which is where my ah gong stays so it's really nearby. It's as big as chatuchat. haha..ya..kidding :P Crazy ah! It's prob 1/3 of chatuchat haha..anyway it sells a whole lot of stuffs!! Like food, and the usual market stuffs, lots of fruits, vegs, clothes, pets like rabbits,gunea pigs, puppies, hasmters, and fishes, plants..hmm alot lar..

Passed by somewhere people laid their noodles to b sun under the freaking hot sun. Now i'll talk abt food, bcos kuching has lots n lots of nice and very unique food. One of which is kolo mee. I didn't take a pic of a bowl of kolo mee but u can check out the ever 1st stall that opened in singapore recently in chinatown. Of cos if u eat the kolo mee in kuching, it's much betta than the one in singapore, but i still say it's quite authentic. The noodles are chewy and very QQ hahaa...flown in everyday from kuching. =)
