WEll i supposed after looking thru some photos in my pc, i realised that i shd post some of them up to betta illustrate my past year :p
2006 wasn't just another year. I felt like i really began to live my life. And it didn't began on 1st of jan 2006. It began from oct 2005.
The whole group of us, Xiaohui, Iris, Deying, Richard, Hsiaolin, Vanessa and Albert formed a bond that till now, we still try to keep. Athough we seemed to have distanced bcos of our own busy life, we still misses each other. The bond was formed strongly cos all of us were singles. Never have i been prouder and happier being single bcos all my frens are singles :p It was fun anyway.
Nov 2006, i went to the Asian Civilisation Museum for the 1st time and fell in love with that place. It was the vatican exhibition. The exhibition was superb. It also That place holds many memories for me. It was the place that Richard and i got became 'cousins', all bcos of his bullshitting skills that made everyone believed we came from the same ancestry roots but his family eventually went to Java, indonesia and mine to Kuching, Malaysia. But anyway, he was..and still is considered a 'distanced' cousin of mine. Its not difficult to bond with him. He's so talkative so chatty, he really reminds mi of my real cousin. And both of us being foreginers..well..juz so much in common regarding that. The exhibition and Richard opened a door for me to see wat catholicsm is really like. Later when Lloyd came back for gd from Japan in Feb was it? It was gd exposure to catholicsm and understanding what they are really like from an unbiased view.
I remembered we went to the vatican exhibition twice. The 1st time we didn't finish the exhibition and the museum was closing. The 2nd time we went, ACM had 24 hr opening hr..you can pop by anytime during the nite. That was so cool. The bunch of us arranged to meet at 11pm and then there was a long Q, so we went to fullerton One to have a drink 1st. Then head back to the museum and came out at 3am. And i can't rem wat happened next aldy. Those were the days of hard core staying up late and playing n all.
Taiwan trip. It was a last minute decision to go when Hsiaolin's parents asked mi. I think i onli considered for a day and then i said yes. Im seldom this last min. Hmm..Taiwan was fun, but restricting bcos we went with parents mah....wanna go back again =) I love Naruwan!!!
Taipei, National threatre. Got weird uncle( guai(4) pei(3) pei (3) ) stare at us when we did our poses.Saturday nite fever onli mah...
Ximending. I looked weird.
Hualian. Some 5-6 stars hotel. Overlooking the city on one side, and the ocean on the other.
Hualian. Taroko Gorge
. A place where signs like ' Beware of falling rocks! ' are placed all over. I remembered laffing at the signs, if there are rocks falling down, i don think we can actually dodge from them lor. But thanks for notifying us that rocks do fall down on pple.Click on the link. It actually classify Taroko as one of the most dangerous roads in the world...hmmm...
I also went for my 1st salsa lesson at Neil road, chinatown in Nov, slightly after my bday. Hsiaolin found the place on newspaper and we both went. That was how we got to know our present dance instructor. And then eventually things happened to this Neil road place...and then we eventually went to Tanglin CC for lessons in January, Albert began to join us. And made friends with many pple, aunties and uncles, boys and girls. Was fun . Everyone knew everyone from the months of lessons. Eventually salsa became my weekly commitment.....and then in august i start training as a dancer, not a leisure dancer anymore.
I also had my 1st bday celebration from my frens...i think it's the first. Im not too sure haha..i don't keep tracks but i especially remembered 05's bday as all my frens came.except Deying. She couldn't make it bcos we put it on a weekday.
My bday celebration at essential brews.
Richard's bday
Mom's Bday. She loved the flowers. Richard,Van and Albert went to get with mi at the flower farm in Thomson. ISit called flower farm? Hmm..anyway the place was flooded recently during in Dec 06, heavy rain fall. Poor thing.
December05 was so busy with Ina coming from Kuching. And partying n partying, show her ard mah....we celebrated new yr countdown as well.
WE just walked into some club which i have forgotten the name...with my cousin and INA without makeup.
Walawala. She loves EIC.
MOS
MOS
MOS
Xmas was nice. Christmas eve was spent in Cathedral with richard and hsiaolin. Then she went on to party and both of us went for a drink at parkview square. The place is beautiful u know? And then all of us got to go church the next day. Richard visited my church with Albert the next day.
New yr countdown 2006.
When Ina returned home,i finally could take some rest. No more partying! :p cleaner lungs. Cleaner liver :P Nah i felt like i drank so much, never so much in my life. Im not a drinker. In fact im a lousy drinker but i think my tolerance for alchohol improved by leaps man. Practice does make perfect. Then months later on, gah men started banning smoking in some pubs as well!!! woohoo!! but i never go lar..very guai aldy.Too much alchohol is no gd.
In Jan 2006, as sudden as the idea came..ok i was kidding. Actually Novemeber 05 was supposed to go Krabi..but we went Taiwan right,so we had to shelve the plan. Then in december we saw the promotion for Krabi, so quickly we gathered pple, searched for info and booked tigerairway to Krabi. We had a gd surprise, bcos the day that we booked the tickets? It was on $1 promotion!! So we basically spent onli $80 on tickets onli. Krabi was so fun. WE don't mind going back again. Its really a paradise on earth. I have to say this, bcos i planned mostly the whole trip, with them helping mi here n there with the booking of hotels, i was the most stressed out...haha..the one that needed holiday the most :P I think it was totally cool that my cousin from australia and his gf, travelled from Perth, to Kuching, to KL, to Bangkok, to Phuket then to Krabi eventually meeting us there. I had a tough time trying to get him on his mobile lor. It was onli days before we set off for Krabi that we managed to contact each other and i told him where to go and which resort to wait for us. WE made it!!!!! So exciting.
I know it's beautiful. It's so beautiful that i've used it as my wallpaper on pc and hp all the time.

CNY 2006 was as usual boring. But colleagues went house visiting..not bad quite fun. Ended up watching movie, asking richard and albert out together with hsiaolin for movie on CNY 2nd day? or issit the 1st..hmm..
There were many firsts. I went to the botanical gardens for the 1st time. Yes i know im a dum dum. I never been to botanical gardens b4 that. WEnt as a group for SSO performance in the park woohoo. Then eventually sometimes also go for other peformance.
I went to Mt Faber for the 1st time. Took the cable car for the 1st time since 11 thousands yrs ago. I don't even rem how the cable cars looked like. Abit stuffy ah the cable car. Cannot breathe leh.
1st time that i went esplanade concert hall. I've been to the other one, the one where they have staged play...but not the concert hall. I went with my colleague for a Jazz performance.
After the concert, we had a drink at fullerton One, rather weird combination? Bcos Deying came and meet us and brought her indonesian fren,Ellen, whom she has been talking about 10 thousand years but i've never met. And Huida my colleague. Then my pri sch mate whom i haven't met in ok onli 5 thousand years said he's bored and i suggested joining us, he actually said ok. What a combi. Not bad.

My pri sch mate's name is ALLAN. Allan, meet Ellen, and Ellen, this is Allan.
I went to Desaru for the 1st time. It's in Johore in case u do not know. It's a packaged one day tour organised by some RC? Anyway, my ex colleague, Feng Ying, Huida, Jianxing and Junjie supposed to go. I didn't want to. haha... cos have to b at cck at 6am, if i didn't rem wrongly. Of cos i won't go lar!! it cost 49 bucks i think. But JUnjie decided to go Japan last min to see his Ayumi concert. He asked mi to go..and for free. So i ok lor......if not left the 3 of them so sian rite.
So i woke up at 4+am man....i donoe how the rest did it. Huida and Jianxing stays even further..omg. Huida was so nice, got us Macdonalds breakfast. I actually can't rem much abt the trip aldy..except that we were always on the coach and the sunset we saw in the coach while driving amongst the hills and palm trees field..was beautiful. Some scenery beside some temple.
Oh yeah we went fire flies watching. That was pretty cool actually. Very pretty..like little xmas trees lit up along the river.
I don't know where is the photo where i took of the 3 of them...misplaced it..hmm..so can't show u guys.
1st time i went to victoria threatre. Was with Albert to watch a play called Thunderstorm (lei yu) a famous play written by Cao Yu. Supposedly famous lar. Bcos i donoe abt any Cao Yu until then. But Albert they all know lar..cos their chinese textbook still had Lei yu's story back then. But by the time it came to our education, MOE had changed the textbooks.. Y he always wants to act so proper and cute....????????????
I went to the zoo for the 1st time after donkey years. With Huida and Iris. The rest fly our kites.
The donkey loves mi so much that it licked my arms with its big wet tongue. So sweet. But i ran off. Haha...
Another ugly pic. Im not suitable for such poses.Next time don pose like that liao. Cows are so cute leh.
1st time watching 'Burn the dancefloor'. With Jennifer, Jianxing(he's not in any of the pics..so sad), Huida and Albert.
Lab celebration for me. There was another celebration with 2 of my cell grp gals and Lloyd in the arts canteen before that. Very nice of them all. Thx guys ang gals. =)
As for my own clique of frens...sad to say...i even had to ask them out to celebrate with mi but then not many pple are free so met up another day instead hahaa...it's ok..=) we are still frens.
And the whole of November and Decemeber were so busy with dance preparation, baptism and xmas carnival. This is the funniest photo....hahahaha....
Thanks to Derek, who did a good job of being the photographer for us that day. Deying was also there, she's the one who helped take the group photo. Thanks for coming guys.
There are no photos for my dance bcos i still havent got the pics ....
that's all

A great fruitful year :p
