Last sat, was a whole hectic day. Deying drove me,xh,mei,lloyd to bbdc to reg for our basic theory test..for xh was her advance theory test. Lloyd needed to convert his liscence. After some hassle and us not knowing where to head in the bbdc, we were saved by the officers on duties, directing and helping us along the way. So there, finally, after a long long time of saying i'll go get my driving liscence, i've finally took the 1st step..and a bloody long way to go.Argh.
Coincidentally i met Fengying there..she was gonna have lesson at 1.55pm. Chatted a while. What a place to bump into her! I know her driving schedules are always booked in the morning, so was quite a surprise.
Then we dropped Lloyd off at great world, and went marina to shop. Ah..so many pple..gathered in this area cos of the fireworks later at nite. Looking for a toilet was like a major disaster. Walking ard was aldy tough enuff. Almost died. Deying left for home, so sad she didn't join us for fireworks. Albert joined in. Richard didn't even call us at all!!!!!!
We wanted to go down to esplanande for the fireworks, but we saw so many pple gathering on entrance of marina sq...so we gathered there like at 8pm, an hr b4 the fireworks. We sat down like little sch kids.Waited for an hr, and i was praying pls juz sit down and watch the fireworks, don't stand up..but the pple infront started standing....P)(*(&*^%^$$()()*(&^%$%$ well...i can't blame them, bcos we were posiitoned on the wrong side !!!!! The fireworks was on the left, and was blocked by the foodcourt...(*&^%$$ wat a bumper. To discover u have been so hopeful abt something,waiting in great anticipation and to realise u have been cheated with the rest of the other silly 200 pple on the wrong side of the building. Bleah.
There was a grass patch in front of us, and some pple put some mini tankers there for some exhibition and kinda used the tape to round off that area? When the whole bunch of 200 pple realised that we were on the wrong side, pple started pushing, running...macham like war...and they went thru the grass, the area cordoned off. The poor guy who was incharged of the watever 'exhbition' was desperately trying to stop the pple, but decided to rescue his poor little tankers as fast as possible instead. I joined the crowd in the mad squeeze to get infront to get a betta view of the fireworks, lost the rest along the way. Got to a nice view, but a father with his kid sitting on his shoulders came n block my view..)_(()*&% then as i looked around i saw albert, and the back back (which is the right side of the area) was pretty empty..and i dragged him over there, and taddaaa we had a betta view of the fireworks and no 200 over pple to squeeze with us. Not bad siah. Don't know y they neber use their brains...
I hate crowds and i'm not the typed to go thru such a hazzle to juz catch some fireworks ... but i tthink it's all worth it. The fireworks were amazing, so beautiful beyond words... Somehow, it can bring pple's emotions to such a peak. The crowd were going woah woah woah...or mayb we are easily satisfied bunch of pple :P
But seriously, beautiful...and u began to think abt your loved ones. Are they watching this at this same time as you, same skies..Wonder how they feel abt it. Wish we can all watch this together. Not seperated. I mean for goodness sake, i didn't even know where xh n mei was aldy.....and all my other frens all over the marina area....
I gez that's like, when you have gd things, u wanna share with all your frens and family!

and for all who missed the fireworks on sat, i was told it's the best and largest scale amongst the other fireworks during the week...here it is! Thank God for videocams. And thank GOd for youtube. haha
