The talk of the asian countries, the long korean drama that has been such a sensation,indirectly caused an increase of people travelling to korean...the drama is finally here in singapore but ..onli on channel 55 :p It is indeed quite captivating. And more interestingly the ancient korean life as compared to ancient chinese,many similarities there..nice pom pom traditional korean costumes so cute. What a rainy weather. And the lab is once again unbearably cold.
Last friday was honours life sci students' commencement. And since i'm working in nus and it's not like so far from me, i made a trip down to University cultural centre after work to find benedict. I told him i would go down to take pics with him. It was so exciting!! Esp ur not the one who has to wear that curtain gown and look gd, pulling ur parents ard u know. So fun! wish i could do it all over again, it's like a mini renioun.And i know i'll be able to spot other honours frens also but i didn't arrange with them b4hand. So i went down, and 1st person i met was Andrea!!
Andrea was my lab mate, a neighbour which stays in yicai's blk and happened to be mingming's next door neighbour, a campus crusade mate, a childhood fren(altho we both DO NOT rem our childhood days..and being frens...but then our mothers said that we are so we not gonna argue with our mothers right?). Was really nice catching up with her, seen her bf finally and a pretty long chat with her mother ALONE.
Saw many pple who i haven't seen for like a yr. It's some sort of deja vu..and i went like huh?! that guy did honours!! no shit man! And a few others that i personally know and some surprises like i saw 2 ac frens who don belong to nus but came to support.
Alrite enuf of that convo thingie.

I feel so exhausted. Physically and mentally. I really need a break. I'm thinking of booking a chalet..since i'm subsidised under NUS. Anyone ONz?
Juz a pretty silent one........cos i'm so tired. I juz wan to go somewhere n nua. Or mayb juz nua at home with my deary rabbit. I'm not toking sense even now...
oh yeah. Caught Wars of the Worlds on sunday nite. I went in with not much expectations,in fact thinking that it's gonna sux. Cos i simply don't like aliens..and i don like this sort of 'end of the world' scene...so the combination of both totally put mi off. EVEN Tom Cruise is not enuff to entice mi to watch it ( i mean after all the weird love proclaiming things he did.....).
SO hey i came out thinking the movie ain't that bad actually. It was exciting.I was glued to the seat, to the screen most of the time. The ending is not very gd. Too abrupt and without much of a fight man...but then i aldy knew the ending b4 i went to watch it so all in all it wasn't bad. I wouldn't say the ending SUX big time. I do think it makes sense.
ANd i like the way the narrator puts it, humans earned the rights to stay in this planet. After millions of yrs of acquiring immunity against microbes, how can the stupid aliens expect to survive wihtout ANY immunity. It's like patients who have certain kind of disease regarding their immunity, like leukemia. When they need to accept a bone marrow donation, the doctors totally 'kill' the patient's bone marrow to reduce any risk of rejection from recipient's own system. And the patient will have to kept in a sterile condition, a bubble, free of all microbes...bcos any small bout of flu that may not even affect our body(cos we have the immunity against them) could easily kill him. So it made sense the aliens died. But wat i can't figure out is that if the aliens have the intelligence for all those machineries and weaponry, and have observed humans for longest longest time, y were they not intellgient enuff to figure out they need a bloody immunity and there are bacteria ard? That is to assume that their body system work in the same way as us. ANd then Y are such intelligent beings depicted as animals still walking on 4 instead of like us evolve to 2? And y are their heads so freaking fan-shaped. Doesn't at all make mi think they r intelligent man. I do feel the way they kill humans, like putting them in the cage then picking one out and suck their blood dry reminds mi of how we treat ANIMALS. I think if there's such a day like that, we prob derseve it, for treating animals inhumanely.
