* The treetop walk *
I feel a new sense of calling. BEsides spreading the gd news of God, i feel there's also an undying need to spread the goodwill and cuteness of rabbits.
I shall be the new abassador to promote more awareness of the intellegient,cute and beautiful creature that has been created by God, a species known as the RABBITS.
I feel that most people out there have great misconceptions abt having rabbits as pets.
' I heard rabbits are rather stupid'/ ' They are stupid, they are not like dogs, they won't respond when u call their names'/ ' I heard they stinks...'
I wish to clear some of the misconceptions whether ur interested or not. if ur not interested then move on lar. Close this window lar.
Rabbits are not stupid. If u want to define how intellegient an animal is by defining it like wat a dog can do then ur not being very smart urself. Rabbits are rabbits. They are not DOGS nor are they CATS. There are no ways u could ever compare a rabbit to dogs or cats. Juz like how u could never compare a kangeroo with a horse. Different animals have different behavioural and social systems. How can u compare?
Rabbits do not respond to you calling them doesn't mean they are dumb. Rabbits are silent creatures. They feel and respond more to body language, even between themselves. If u know your pet rabbit well, you would know how to interact with it, you don't even have to call it to come to you. Rabbits have their own attitudes towards things, they WILL come to you if they want to, that is if they want to spend their time with u. But of cos they would never reject you if u wanna give them a hug or a pat or 2. Rabbits are very social animals. Once they form the bond with you or other rabbits, they stick together. They love company, they love to be around you.
To keep a pet rabit means u have to b extra patient. Again rabbits are not stupid. They may not b that smart, but neither are they stupid. My Angel is always up to his tricks, cunning like a fox. They DO NOT STINK. In fact they even smell pretty gd. It's their poops and pee that stinks. ANd rabbits are able to be toilet-trained. So how dumb is that? They do not pee and poop elsewhere except where u trained them to pee n poop. They do not need to be bathed bcos they r obsessed with keeping their fur clean. They need not us to brush their teeth to prevent gum disease and bad breath. IN fact their breath smells of fresh grass it's even considered nice.
So pls...DO not insult the rabits' intellegience and YOURS at the same time by saying they r not like dogs. Bcos they r NOT DOGS stupid.
Anyway, yesterday i went HSBC treetop walk with xiaohui,vanessa and richard. After a few boo boo that we made, we managed to get to the correct destination. Actually wanted to enter the trail from upper thomson instead of machritie but all of us were confused...so took a cab to that place from macritchie..then walked in..which is ard 2km to the treetop walk. If we were to go by the Macritchie way that would b 5km? which will take 2 hrs and by then the treetop walk would have closed and we won't b able to get in!
So we made it. Was quite enjoyable. Not many pple. Would b betta if we have someone who's familar with the forest stuffs then we could learn more abt thre trees, fruits, birds watever. The treetop walk is not very long...i wish it's longer, afterall we have to walk sooo long to get there.
So after that we proceed to walk our 5km back to Macritchie reservior..along the way took many photos, we were speculating that with our speed of progress we might not even get in b4 dark haha. Which is quite scary bcos we don wan to b inside in the dark!!
In short, we had fun. Quite an experience. Even tho this is so not a forest, but it has been quite a long time since anyone of us had been to such nature walk. SO was great. Lots of photos but i haven't got them from Richard and those in my hp could not b uploaded cos my cable is in lab not at home. Next few days then peeps.
