*Mother's day & dad's bday*
So it's dad's 59th bday on the 8th of May. I went out,braving the rain and all (ok lar..actually stopped raining liao lar..) to get him a standard 1 kg cake, which has a heart-shaped chocolate on it that writes,'Happy mother's day'. I actually didn't realise that it's mother's day yesterday? Until my bro who was out(always out anyway) on sat nite and called mi and asked if i got anything for mom. I think he wanted to b a parasite, suck on to my present and shun bian claim that he got it too. At least he thought about the pressie, that's all enuff isn't it? Notice how low my expectation of him gets.......it juz can't get any lower than that. Unfortunately, the sister here 4got all about mother's day.
So he said he would get flowers for mom. And i'm happy cos he's getting it. I can't rem how many times he initiated buying a present for my mom anyway. Mayb i t's my bad memory. By sunday i aint no see any flowers. But my mom was working morning shift so she won't b back early. I went out at 3pm to get the cake and tot i'll juz buy the flowers at central but turned out that i didn't remember there being a flower shop in central or anything. Later in the day then i remembered the MRT has one..and ntuc sells flowers in the fridge..so i called up my bro and no surprise he didn't wan to get out of the hse to get flowers. He said forget it lar..I'm obviously not v happi. So wat if he drank till he almost got liver cancer last nite? My mom doesn't have her flowers! And his son doesn't wan to get it for her!! can't even contribute ABIT. Seriously i was in too bad a shape to go all the way to holland V to get flowers for her cos i'm juz soo tired. Not to mention i've got a rather dirty hse to go back n vacumn clean the flooor, pile of dishes for mi to wash,rabbit's toilet to wash, hamsters' cages to wash,a steamboat to prepare? And that gd for nothing who does nothing all day can't even go n buy flowers..
In the end i managed to blast him out of the hse to go buy flowers. He muz b soo inexperienced with this sort of thing that omg..u shd have seen the flowers he got. 3 stalks of ...not roses..not carnation...i don even kno wat's the flowers, and nothing else. And a flimpsy green wrapping. No 4get mi nots...no mang tian xins...no nothing!! And that cost $20. Hai...to think he has a gf. I wonder how is he gonna buy flowers in the future.
Actually my original plan was to bring them all out for a gd dinner cos we seldom ever do such a thing. Especially now that my dad is inconvenient..so i tot save all the trouble of transporting my dad to some place, we juz have a simple steamboat. And steamboat is relatively easy. And of cos my bro has no share in helping us prepare the food. Even had to call him a few times to come out n eat. And then he had no share in helping to clean up and washing the dishes. Yawn...is the story ever gonna change or not.
So i think we had a gd time. Considering how little time our family spend together as a family.
Ps...i've fixed my tagboard's filter..you can swear all u wan now HO HO HO. Not at mi lar of cos.
