Its thursday!! It means friday is tomoro and the long weekend is finally beyond my reach. I believe i'm echoing many thousands of worker's tots right now. :p
I'm not all that happie actually. I'm juz so bloody tired. I stoned the whole day yesterday doing nothing but surfing and chatting the net. Time was crawling and u donoe wat a pain it was to sit there n look at the clock every other half an hr...it sux!
SO the highlight of the day muz b my discovery channel documentary on Ramses. Not very happie abt it. Abt wat they said. Bcos they tried to explain the 10 plagues thru scientific method, and it sounds quite logical except that they couldn't explain the fact y the all the firstborns died or mayb it didn't happen at all. And moses may not have been a hebrew brought up as anm egyptian prince but a rebellious egyptian prince who wanted to rebel agasint Ramses the 2nd, his dad...yadaaa yaddaa...whenever they make some impt discoveries they put it on film and it's always 2 hrs documentary. They would tell u wat they did, and some history and stuffs...which is cool..cos in this case hey i saw wat mt sinai looked like, i saw the city(in ruins) which supposedly the hebrew helped to build, i saw the supposedly burning bush that God used to speak to Moses,the red sea( and some rabbi actually said that there's a misinterpretation of the orignal bible, that it shd b the reed sea not red sea.....this is crap. I really don believe that anyone could misinterpret the bible under the supervision of the holy spirit). And something interesting here..the exodus story is so impt that it's recorded in the bible and also the koran. And the researches had been trying to find out the link b/w the jewish/christian faith and the heretic pharoah ahkaneten, who reigned 50 yrs b4 ramses the 2nd, who had for the 1st time in history and in egypt worhsiped the idea of ONE god, the sun god..interestingly, there's a whole inscription of praises devoted to the god which could b exactly translated to Psalms 104. It happens that this record of the heretic king worshipping a single god is also the oldest in the world which means jewish/christian faith is kinda related to him. Therefore they are thinking that moses could have been influenced by this heretic faith and rebelled against his dad for watever reason. It's up to ur to judge. I would think that the heretic king was worshipping my GOD and hence the similarities...
Some things juz don add up. And as the documentaries goes..it left many questions many things unanswered cos they are juz halfway thru their research and they decided to put it to film. ALWAYS LIKE THIS!!!! DAMN PISSED. Can't they release everything one short like 10 yrs later?!!when they finished their research and able to give a conclusion. Ramses the 2nd may not b the pharoah that was mentioned in the bible tho scholars have always believed it's him. BUt looking at the bible, somethings juz don add up with wat we know abt egyptian history. Archealogists have always believed that the pyramids and all were built by their own pple, they got lots of evidence to prove that...and no evidence to directly prove that they held isralites as slaves....but as history goes...nothing is confirmed and not everything could b proven. It's interesting. But i still believe in the bible. Nice try abt trying to explain how christian faith arises. Nice try abt trying to explain the 9 plagues rationally, doesn't mean it's not done by God. =) ANd wat reed sea...............that's suspicious.......................well juz putting down my tots. HOpe ur understood and followed my tots..if not too bad...watch the documentary urself then. 2 hrs...
