* A gd nite's workout! *
Cannot blame mi for having lousy vocab leh..afterall chinese is the 1st language that i knew and 1st taht i spoke and 1st taht i wrote.. I was thinking along the line of using the word rekindled...but i used revoked instead and i have no idea y?????????????????????? I'm too tired lar..
I couldn't even spell millenium right..it still doesn't look right. And when Karen talks to me abt Ipod mini, i couldnt' even make my brain work and recall wat the hell is a ipod mini and hell i know wat is a ipod mini! I've played with it for sometime even, i shd know it pretty well but i juz can't rem wat is a ipod mini.I couldn't even spell ugly..i kept spelling it as ulgy and i knew something is very wrong there but i juz couldn't spell it right. I can't express my tots properly, i can't recall the right words to use and i go like short forms all over or continuing staring at the other person and hopefully he/she would get fed up and help mi fill in my words.
Ahh i'm juz soooo tired. I couldnt' wake up for 2 days aldy...even when the alarm is going off and i can still sleep as normal. I think i need the buzzing clock. The one that some goons invented, with wheels on it. It goes off and u press it once, the smart clock will roll off ur table and somewhere further from ur bed...so that u have to get up and press it for the 2nd time. That's supposed to help u wake up.........but wat if i can't even hear the alarm?????hmmm..
LAst nite, deying and i went over to xiaohui's place to play tennis. She onli has tennis court in her condo. And Deying bought mi and herself this $10 tennis racket each some days ago.Some beginners like us, i don think it makes much difference whether the racket is gd or not anyway. BUt none of us know how to play tennis. So it was a total mess, we were picking the tennis balls 90% of the time. Wah tiring...And then i hit 2 balls out of the court and we couldn't find it cos her court was surrounded by all the bushy plantations....hai...but then xiaohui hit one over the fence and landed on the condo nearby...deying and i went over to find it and the security guard gave us a bag of tennis balls that they picked up at their condo area...i mean wow..we lost 2 but gained so many.
Then we gave up on tennis and played badminton instead...on the tennis court. Some passerbys laughed at us. I still prefer badminton. It's like something so familar..so nostalgic. Cos i'll always remember playing badminton with Xiaoying and jen, when we desperately made use of our badminton courts in NUS after we graduate, b4 NUS remove our student priveleges. It was some fun times. I missed playing badminton with them. Since we started working i don think we played badminton together anymore...so i practically haven't been playing for 7-8 mths...that juz shows how unhealthy i am. ANyway i had a really gd time last nite. At 1st i tot i would b too tired to play..but i got more n more awake during the games and i was really enjoying it. Now i'm aching all over. So unhealthy. I was really tired yest. Cos i had to wash this tissue processor machine in my lab. It's the machine where i put animal organs/tissue inside to b processed. There are containers for xylene, different concentration of ethanol and parrafin wax. So on mon i had to drain the huge amount of wax out...and took mi 2 hrs..and washed the inside. The inside hasn't been washed for 8 yrs...i know. Cos the machine recorded when was the last time the inside was cleaned. SO it's 8 yrs. Imagine my disgust. There were some lumps of brown dirty stuffs inside and i gez those are the dead animal tissue residues or watever..ANd it hell stinks?!! Omg ..it juz sux...
Then yesterday i had one of the container removed...it contains 5 litre of pure ethanol. I had to pour everything out..wash the container and pour another 5 litre of ethanol back in..eh heavy leh...then removed the container containing xylene. And xylene is harmful if u breathe it in..so i had to carry it into the fume hood. And hence the container ended up resting on the hoood, and it's at my chest level. So lucky there was a small sink i could put a 2.5litre bottle in...and i had to hold the 5 litre container up so that the contents could b poured into the small bottle. 5 litres leh!!!! And u know how long it takes for 5 litres to b drained out ? With juz my mere humanly effort. Not to mention i haven't worked my arm muscles for year. Then i had to pour another 5 litres of new xylene back into the container...so i had to hold this 4 litre bottle containing the new xylene UP and starts pouring....took like eternity..felt like eternity. DO NOT ask y im so stupid..y can't i use a rubber tubing and using the theory of atmospheric pressure exerted on different liquid surfaces, to transfer the xylene...afterall the xylene would juz flow from one area to another effortlessly....if u donoe wat i'm talking abt..i'm talking abt how u would change ur fish tank water..how u remove the water from the fish tank? U insert a tubing into the water rite?Flush water from the tap to into the tank for a while then pluck out the tube from the tap's end..and water would naturally flow out from the tank. It's got to do with pressure..don ask mi y or how it works..cos i'm a bio student not physics. SO i could have done that...but 1) there's no rubber tubing...somewhere there is...but i can't find 2) xylene melts plastic....i wonder if they would melt rubber too...cos my rubber gloves kinda melted and went out of shape when some of the xylene dripped onto the rubber gloves............................hai....they shd get a guy in this lab leh..to do these sai gan(shit job) yesh it's hokkien.
