* Cabs *
Since i've been such a faithful patron of all the singapore cabs, i think i'm more than qualified to talk abt them.
Some drivers love it if his clients request to go really far, best if from west to east or east to west bcos like that more tan tio. More worth it. Some drivers think going somewhere so near is such an insult to their profession that they have to make funny faces and noises at their clients. Some think that it's more worth it if the clients want to go somewhere near, becos after all by using the common sense of relative distance, of cos it's more worth it to fetch someone to somewhere close since every cab starts its charging at $2.40. I personally feel that it's not worth it to take a cab to somewhere so close but i do it so often anyway but it's benefitting to the cabbies rite? They should learn to stop giving mi attitude.
And then there are those ridiculous bastards who rather AVOID clients b4 midnite so that they can earn more after midnite. According my lousy econs, i DO not think that this is profitable at all...since they are wasting their petrol circling around the street for 1 hr. Me for example have been AVOIDED at many times, Ignored and treated as if i'm air.
According to my wonderful pack of experience with them, i think it's best u show them that u are not bloody intimidated at them. And one gd way i've found is by asking them to bring mi straight to my building where i work..i mean duh of cos my building rite. And no matter how unwilling how rude how disgusting their faces were to me when i got onto the cab, like magic, these ugly expression would b lifted from their faces. INstead with a look of awe and admiration, they would talk nicer to me. Bcos my building is ..listen up. It's Faculty of Medicine, Dean of Medicine, Clinical Research Centre. Woah. These idiots think i'm a future promising doctor. I gez i do have that doctor look. How hypocritical. And a few kind words of exchange, a few words of greetings b4 i paid up and leave this bastards to their daily work. Of cos there are nice cabbies ard and i've met a few, who geniuely cared about the little interesting things of my life which makes mi so different from them. And geniue greetings and blessings. A gd taxi ride would set ur day. A bad taxi ride jinx the rest of ur day.
Not to mention a supposedly 5 mins drive from my home to workplace would b delayed to 15 mins on mornings on a cab and kana charged up to $6 per ride. I can take that on a normal day and reach wheelock place and still pay $6 on nonpeak hrs. This is shit. No wonder my money is disappearing fast. I'm even robbing my angpao money to feed my extravagant taxi rides.
And i'm sure everyone knows this fact. City cabs are much more expensive than the rest. And their cabbies have poor attitudes. Many cabs have auto doors, for watever weird reason that we need auto doors for...esp when the cabbies can't auto close the door ?? And if u shd encounter those blind cabbies who treat u like air next time, take down their car plates and complain. I heard once the public complain a driver for 2 times and that's it, he's liscence would b suspended. That's just punishment for treating mi like air. U think everyone so rich take cabs meh. OF cos rushing or got urgent matter that's y i'm taking cab rite?! And they can turn a blind eye to this mad dishevelled woman waving wildly at every cab?! That's bloody unforgivable. I'll take my hp out and snap at them next time!
