I must 1st tok abt the EXCITING blackout last nite b4 i describe my stupid lousy day today. Blackouts!!! IT was so damn cool!! TOO bad some pple didn't experience it. Must have been like the most exciting thing that happened in my life so far..see how deprived i am?
At 1st, we all tot it was a power trip. Yicai opened the door, wanting to fix the trip to discover blackout outside too..and then looked across our blk? it was pitch darkness!! And pple started shouting like as if we'r having some wild party woo hoo! It's was so damn cool i tell ya. The west coast side has their power so it wasn't pitch darkness for us...but looking at sunset way side to upper bukit timah it was all dark. Have u seen the whole clementi in darkness? Yaps..it's amazing..it's a whole new different world. I wonder wat those pple in the buses and trains think abt the blackouts? MUst b a buzz in the buses and trains. The street lights were off..the buses were travelling slowly..pple were shouting woohoo everywhere..and then u see neighbours standing at their balconies shining their torches at everyone else's homes and taking photos haha! Madness!! Some houses even had their mega super power walt tourch lights!! Those bright enuff to light the whole hse up? They shone the torch at the ground and the light were still so concentrated..don understand y pple need such powerful torches for??? And then they were shinning those all over the place providing the disco effect..nuts:p Well i tried taking some pictures too haha just for fun. Ive got a breaktaking view of the whole clementi, sunset way and upper bukit timah in darkness...hmm will the pics come out?
Pathetic like hell we didn't have any torches or even candles?! So 3 of us, including my bro used our 8250 and his watever nokia phone lighting our way in the hse..8250 ah...doesn't disappoint us u know. haha. Angel was clueless abt wat's going on...running ard like mad pig taking advantage of his perfect nite vision, popping out of nowhere to scare the shit out of us. He prob tot it's time to go home(toilet) and sleep since all lights are out and he didn't wan to go home no matter wat. Then after 30 mins of fun, the lights came back. Saw Dover lighted up and tot we could see the whole clementi lighted up b4 our eyes ..but aiyah missed that chance. We didnt'catch it. Hai..spoiler. :p
haha so much for the blackout..i know lar..u all don think it's soo cool etc etc...u got to experience it!!
ANyway today..the last day for collection of our convo gowns. Science was scheduled for 9-12pm today. Xiaoying gave mi a ride to sch..I can't believe how stupid i can b..and how lousy the day can b. It was aldy like 11.40am when i discovered that i 4got to bring my WALLET!!! AND so i had no way, no matric card, no IC to prove my identity!! BUt xiaoying and jen was so nice, xy gave mi a lift back to pick up my wallet and rushed back to sch again. Felt so bad lor. Cos of me, dragged the 2 of them down too.When we reached back to the hall, the pple aldy locked the doors!!! at 12pm sharp!!! STUPID NUS! The next collection time would b from 2-5pm ( other degrees). WaH LAU i felt sooo bad u know.I really dragged the 2 of them down. Luckily we spotted another entrance but it was where everyone is leaving after collecting their gowns etc..but who cares rite? as long as we can get inside. SO we went in by there...and we' werent the last ones..there were like 4-5 more pple who joined us in the Q later, also came in thru the back door. Arent we smart? *grin* arr watever. SO sorrie to drag u 2 down. Feeling bad abt it. Can't believe i so arrgh!
The gown...i purchased it. It cost $47. The material used this yr is quite nice, felt velvetish..unlike other yrs where they used crap lousy blue material. Don wanna describe much abt the whole event..quite boring. Basically everyone tries on their gown, and we couldn't wear it properly the staffs had to help us..then walk walk walk..lots of promotions abt this n that...and therefinally we were out. Went West Mall..walked ard..wanted to find a white blouse for the commencement. I didn't get mine. Cos i think it's v ex..altho looking at most places DANO aldy offering the lowest, $28. I don wear blouses..don like long sleeves and collars. No blouses in my closet AT ALL. I won't see myself wearing a white blouse in the future either. So i think it's really a waste of money and totally buying just for the sake of the graduation.Then Deying came to my rescue, telling mi she has a burberry white blouse and it's small!!!! Donoe if it fits but anything lar. Meeting her this fri for swimming anyway. HOpefully ive recovered by then.
Having some troubles with my thailand trip. The package we picked turns out to b v ex after adding all the airport taxes..sux man..got to start finding again. Gonna discuss with cousin n her bf and prob meimei tomoro. UPdate u all when everything is settled and when we finally bk our tickets. Yaps..and my mom is coming back tomoro.
