+ What Happened !? +
I've come to a conclusion, that, I CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT NET!!! 2 days ago, while i was chatting with my frens over msn, the ceiling above me started to leak water and soon the water was "splashing" onto my printer?!!! Water has been leaking from above for over 2 weeks aldy..but it;s along the wall, now the situation had worsened till it started leaking straight from the ceiling!! My mom and i quickly dissembled my pc and printers, scanners, speakers etc..removed them from this table to other safer areas in case the leaking gets worse. Can't afford to lose my pc man. So..for 2 days i had no pc, no net. Life is so much more boring without net hmm so jialat! Finally cleared some space to put my pc table away from the leaking, reassembled my pc and tada!! I've got net again!!:p
Got rid of the huge ugly old cabinent that used to house the hi-fi set, speakers and rubbish. I managed to spent even more quality time with my mom yesterday when we went to ikea to look for a cheap and simple TV bench. We ended up shopping for other things rather than the tv bench :p as usual..gals.. After consideration, we decided to purchase this one which cost $99 and could withstand a max load of 100kg! It's cheap and it's compact, won't take up too much space and most of all it can withstand up to 100kg of load. My tv at least weigh 70kg...by the time we made up our mind it was aldy 8pm. The bench could b collected ourselves but we found that it's almost impossible to get it home ourselves..cos it was like 30kg and 117cm in length!! We could barely lift it up from the pile and put it onto our trolley lor. And we suspected that normal cabs' booth can't even take 117cm. Then the sales person told us that oh we could actually just pick up the phone over there in the corner, press the button, and it would connect us to london cab booking! So we got a london cab (oo so excited !! ) to send our bench and us home. The bench, which was flat-packaged was put uprite by the cabbie uncle, and it stood infornt of our feet. There..we tot we could sit back and relax. Who could have tot that once the uncle accelerate when the light turns green, the whole package (30kg ok..) fell FLAT on MY RIGHT LEG!!!! * OUCH!!!! * I feel so dumb, any idiot would have tot abt putting the package uprite like that would fall flat eventually, so dumb. Goodness. Now i got a blueblack that stretches 5cm in length. I'm surprised the bone didn't crack or anything. HA.
Yicai was waiting for us, so that he could help carry the package upstairs. After lots of pulling n carrying, the package was on the way to my hse. Actually it was mostly yicai carrying the package n my mom trying to b nice n helped pull abit. And I was erm..looking at them :p Once back at home, we opened up the package and yicai had gladly offered to help assemble the bench. I think he scored lots of gd pts with my mom just in one nite haha. Hai..while trying to assemble the bench, we realised that one of the wood has problem. It's not even flat, abit bloated, and the side some part was sticking out. My mom kept saying how sway we are..so mafan. So today i called ikea and they promised to send the replacement on sunday. I tot could b earlier but that's the earliest. My mom wanna get this done b4 she leaves for kuching on sat but looks like I have to get it done, with yicai's help of cos. Does my tiny frail-looking arms look like i could carry a 70kg onto the new tv bench?
Btw, for ur info..if u wan ikea to transport the things to ur place, u need to pay $40. And if u wan them to assemble the stuffs for u, u need to pay 5% of the cost of the thing u purchased. If u purchase more than $3000 worth of stuffs then transportation is free (duh...so ex liao..) Yap that's all. Actually i enjoyed the trip to ikea alot. Was really fun. It gives me the impulse to throw away all the old, ulgy, takes up lots of space furniture in my hse and replaced it with new,compact furniture. Wanna decorate the hse like i would wan it to b like. I love my present hse alot and dread the day i would have to move .BUT the onli reason that i would willingly move into a smaller flat is ..that i could decorate it as i like it.. ( rem the hse loan..im probably paying..so that means hey i have a say in wat to do to the hse!! )
We went to anchorage to look at furnitures as well, just to compare prices and of cos anchorage one is a killer. Anyway we went to novena furniture shop, and after chatting with one of the salesman abt watever tv bench, the salesman asked my mom this, " IS that your daughter? "
My mom replied, " Yesh that's my daughter" smiling away....
Then salesman said, " OH! U 2 looks like sisters to me. "
* gasp* * jiayann screams *
My mom giggled softly while i asked her if i heard him correctly.
My mom's reaction : " yeah lor, he said we look like sisters " *grin* *grin*
Mine reaction : " HUH!! Do i look so old?! "
My mom's reaction : " Yeah ur face shape makes u look older than u really are. My face is more baby-face, so look younger." and she can't stop grinning!!
*Screams*
U know wat's more horrifying?! This is not the 1st time pple commented that we look like sisters!!!!!! DAMN! I better start sleeping early from now on!
That is the MOST recent photo i have of my mom, and i'm inside too. So? DO WE LOOK LIKE SISTERS?! That was taken in decemeber back in kuching. Actually she looked abit older back then (cos of stress) than she is now... hai..so take tat in mind. Gez how old she is?? She's 48 or issit 49 this yr..hmm..hai
