+ Mother's Day? +
Not celebrating mother's day this yr. Actually we seldom celebrate it anyway. My mom is in kuching now. Yesterday was my dad's bday and i actually 4gotten abt it until my mom reminded mi to give him a call to wish him happy bday haha. So unfillial! I asked my dad if he knows it was his bday and he laffed and said yes. My dad's speech is getting clearer, could understand most of the things he said, which is really gd. I donoe his condition now..have to call my mom later to ask her.
Usually i would buy flowers for my mom. It always amuse me how happy she is whenever we give her flowers. Mayb cos my dad never gives her anything for anything to appreciate her. Now that her kids are grown up and know how to appreciate her abit, i gez she must have been really happie.
My mom is a typical hsewife, cooks real gd food, the whole hse is maintained by her. Onli she knows where watever stuffs are put or stored. BUT my mom is also the hairdresser of the family. She cuts all our hair haha. Believe it or not, my hair has always been cut by her, although really fanciful ones i would have to go to the salon. And she knows how to make clothes,curtains, or even the sofa covers..made by her. So my mom is also a wonder-woman! She's 162cm tall( taller than mi :( ), pretty slim for her age, but for her size she could move mostly anything that are so many times heavier than her. I think my mom is very wise, dishing out advises for my life ,which sometimes can b pretty naggy. But still my mom is the role model that i look up to. Her opinions on things matters alot to me, and that 's y sometimes i get upset cos i don like her opinions on certain things (actually alot of things ..haha). My mom was also the one who carried the whole burden of feeding the family when my dad was jobless and then again took care of my dad when he was ill. It was a really tough time for her when my dad was ill and that was the onli period of time i ever saw my mom who has always been so strong on the verge of breaking down...hai..My dad ought to appreciate my mom more. He has been such a woodblock all his life.
Sadly speaking, most of my mom's "talents" somehow didn't manage to pass down to me? I can't sew for goodness sake. Yeah ok..i cheated for home econs ok? Most of the sewing was done my mom..she contributed to like prob 70% of all the sewing and i did the rest. I can't cook well either..worse of all i couldn't even cook in the past. It was onli until when i was in yr2 Uni then i started learning how to cook and without her ard to teach mi, i figured everything by myself...don worry..the food taste alrite, i'm pretty proud of myself. And No i can't cook fish yet..Don wan to either bcos i don wan to wash the fish n clear the intestines etc eee..I'm sucha weakling, my practically non-existent muscles doesn't enable me to move much furnitures..mostly i rely on my mom,my bro or bf :p AND i'm shorter than my mom :( Aren't the kids supposed to b taller than their parents??hai~~ wat happens to the gene man?
ANyway think would give her a call later to wish her happy MOther's day. Abit paiseh to tell her..we arent' the sort of family where we're comfortable in saying mushy things..:p yeah..and it's mushy to say happy mother's day to her somehow eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwww.
