+ Like a slave and Troy +
Been working like a slave at home these few days. Trying to revamp my living room and as from today my plan is to move on to my messy room. Was rabbit-proofing the living room on fri i think, worked my arss off. Moved the pc table MYSELF back to the original position in the living room. And the weather was hot, no surprise, i mean everyday is that hot n humid. Can die man..i find myself stinking with sweat every afternoon. Spent the hot day yesterday vacumming and mopping the floor, washing the dishes and putting stuffs in proper order. I went to Ikea like 3 times in these 2 weeks. Have the urge to do a major revamping of my hse..paint my room, move the furnitures..but .. too tedious lar..i can't paint my room without having to move the furnitures and moving them means i have to tidy up the messy room and remove the bks on the bkshelves etc..hai..wat a pain.
Went to watch Troy on saturaday nite at JP. Seems like i'm kinda stuck in JP for sometime now. Don feel like going down to town at all. Troy was..not as great as i expected it to b. Alittle disappointing although my fren pervert Haolun apparently don think so..he even says i donoe how to appreciate it?! Mayb for pple who had read Homer's Illiad and Odyssey they would appreciate the movie hmm BUT i HAVENT. I think the movie lacks abit of substance. Felt like the movie is just trying to show us the sequence of events that happened but without proper starting and ending..It almost seemed like a story abt Achilles onli, his rise and fall? The war scenes got alittle boring too..i attack u..u attack mi..then i attack u back. Where was the focus?? Too draggy. Made us sat there for 2 hrs + to watch boring war scenes..argh. The onli really exciting fighting scenes i could rem, was when Hector fought with Achilles, and abit of when Paris challenged Menelous. A not so gd ending oso, seems to say that Trojan war was concluded by Achilles's death..wat the..NO matter how much i love Brad pitt, i think really the movie went abit off focus. And isn't Achilles an arrogant guy who desires nothing but his own glory? Then y does he cry when Prium asked him for Hector's body back? The director must b trying to save some "gd face" for Brad Pitt...Make brad pitt look abit better after killing HEctor haha. Of cos the movie is not without some credits lar..1st of all, Helen is really beautiful :p And ALL that custumes! So lovely! Absolutely dig the costumes.. The fighting moves of achilles, it's actually very nice, choreographed very well, esp his striking moves ( that one that he killed the big guy with in the front part of the movie and later the same moves while fighting Hector). It prob looked so nice bcos of the way the director shoot the moves lar..
Enuff of Troy..mayb if i'm that bored i could go purchase Illiad and read it. hmm. Anyway, i'm gonna try start writting my resume today. But write to where? I have no idea. I think the govn simply sux. If there aren't so many positions for us to fill, then don open so many space in life sci can? damn the govn. Many pple told mi, oh u can go do sales. They need pple with life sci backgrd to do sell the machines etc. Yeah rite. Does anyone need life sci knowlegde to sell anything? Just memorise the details and sell them lar pls! I don wan to have studied so much and end up doing sales! And this is how we are supposed to contribute to s'pore's biomed industry?!! BY DOING SALES?!!! damn the govn. Down with P*P
