Haha with such a heading it won't be surprising if u immediately close this window. Don worry lar. I'm not really going to complain...not really :). I Only chose this title cos yicai pointed out to me tat i could be the MOST complainy person on this earth. I complain abt everything thing..big and small...to the sun..water..grass and pple... Anyway i'm digressing..
I wanted to tell u all wat happened yesterday. We stumbled across the river hongbao carnival thingie which was located next to the esplanade. I've NEVER been to such watever carnivals u call it in all my 21 yrs of life. Now i must sound like the Biggest suaku now? haha...yeah i've never..cos my parents never ever bothered to bring me to such places..never played those bumper car stuffs as well. Now i sound pathetic. Nevermind! There were 2 major things that i saw that could ONLY happen in s'pore. There were alot of pple (naturally..) and while we were walking ard, pushing n shoving pple, we noticed a small crowd (actually not really v small...it was huge enuff to make me think there's a performance) in the middle of nowhere. We went up to check it out to see wat's so interesting? And gez wat? It's a Mainland chinese guy having a quarrel with this couple. It wasn't a heated arguement or sort...they were pretty calm except that u could tell from their body language they r unhappy with each party. So now can u pple tell me wat is so interesting that a crowd that big could all gather and watch 3 pple quarreling? It really puzzles me. WHY?? I really felt like going up to the crowd and shove them aside and shout," wat the hell are u all gathered here?! So free ah? Pple quarrel never see b4 issit? wat's wrong with u pple....." Now that is one strange phenomenon where u can onli find in s'pore. No offense man...but it really puzzles me.. U shd have seen the faces of the crowd ha..biggest joke man..they looked like they were watching the tv... blaeh
Then as we walked on..we saw pple selling Bin tang hu lu for $1..the red round stuffs u always see in those dramas! we went to try lar...and we didn't like it..haha. Anyway back to the 2nd puzzling thing that we witnessed...There was a stage where yicai told me at certain time it would spit out lots of gold (papers?) and the crowds would gather to catch as many as they can...cos it's something to do with gd luck or fortune watever. So while we were there, the crowds were gathering aldy bcos in a few mins time the thing would start spitting "gold". The pple were opening up their umbrellas and holding it upside so tht the "gold" could b gathered in their umbrellas...It really puzzles me again? When the thing spit the "gold" wah..the whole crowd was going crazy, everyone holding out their hands and more idiots opening their umbrella,pushing and shoving one another like mad pigs...to gather fake gold paper.. huh? Wat is wrong with these pple again? Do they have to b so kiasu? No offense man to all s'poreans out there..but for that moment i felt utterly ashamed that i'm half a s'porean( i meant it as i stayed here for so long that i could pass off as bein a s'porean). And for reasons like such i'll never b a s'porean citizen. Imagine going travelling and u tell pple oh i'm from s'pore. And they give u this dirty look, " oh the land of the kiasu pple..." Again no offense k!!..not being biased or anything but pple like me who has spent most of my life here, i treat s'pore as half my hometown..but to see pple doing such puzzling things all the time..i really wonder wat did the government do to s'poreans... pple here are so restricted that they find all these things very interesting???very fun meh? Collect fake gold particles wat...very kangcheong meh? Must fight until like that ah? Or got TOTO numbers? Pls entertain me my frens on wat was happening...mayb i missed out something lor...tell me wat was happening lar..Juz don start scolding me or m'sia .. :p
I watched The last Samurai on sun nite. I like the sceneries..the wonderful fightings. As i said b4, as long as there are fightings and warfares i love it. But frankly speaking the plot is quite empty although u won't notice that till u get out of the cinema. Tom cruise shd have died, but then again the title of the movie wouldn't b The LAST samurai if he died. But then? Y didn't he die?! The samurai costume is very nice btw..haha. No more nice movies for a long time i gez. There's one trailer that i saw. Timeline. I think that is quite gd. Middle ages..fightings etc...ohh my type of show.
