Today's pract we had our hands on live chick embryos! It's really quite cool except that the embryo is dead after we play with it lar...we got the yolk out and took out the 2day old embryo and look under the microscope and the heart is still pumping really very cute actually. But it's sad that its dead aldy. BTW, the eggs we r eating are the unfertilised eggs without embryos...the ones with embryos are the fertilised ones of cos( fertilised internally) Didn't know chickens mate :p So y do chickens still lay eggs since they r unfertilised? err..think in terms of females ovulating then......that sounds quite gross isn't it? -_- oh well...anyway i took 2 fertilised eggs from the lab and brought it home to incubate. My prof says just put it under the lamp to make it ard 37 degree celsius for 21 days.....my mom was very excited when i brought 2 eggs home ...but now she thinks it's too mafan liao and the electricity bills! I don even know whether the incubation is at the correct temp etc. Mayb it woudn't even hatch..so wat if it hatch? then wat am i going to do with the chicks? hai difficult choices to make!
I think my CA is goner liao. hai~~
